Yes, they are microwaveable and safe for the dishwasher as well. I've bought them more than once not only for my collection, but for family members and I think they are awesome! No regrets for purchasing them and the support they give the thin paper plates is great. I also use them for extra support with the thicker Chinet paper plates . I love them and I'm so glad that I was able to get them along with a lot of other hard to find items at Miles Kimball!
9" paper plates fit nicely in the three tabs on the plates; Larger Dixie picnic plates will rest in the shells as well, but will not fit the tabs..
