Comments about Aluminum Burger Press:
I have owned one of these for several years. I use it often. You need to use the wax paper squares as suggested or you will have problems with the meat sticking. Experiment a little with the amount of meat you put into the press. It is very easy to adjust the thickness of the burgers. It is very easy to clean. (Soap and hot water or just toss it in the dishwasher)Biggest bonus: The burgers stay together when cooked and they are all the same size! Every time.I buy bulk hamburger,pre-make and freeze hamburger patties for quick meals all year long.

After reading the review with one star, I had to leave a review on this item. I found this burger press to make perfect size burgers, and I didn't have any meat coming out of the sides. I used the wax squares that are shown on the same page as this burger press. They came out the size I set it for, and they didn't fall apart even when I grilled them. My press came apart easily, and there wasn't any meat in it. I believe the person who left the one star put too much chopped meat in it which was the cause of her problem.
This burger press is made well, and it's a little on the weighty size which makes it stable when you press your burgers. You can take it apart to clean in the dishwasher also, which is another good reason to choose this one.

We used this device one time and sent it in the trash--literally! The corrugated surfaces cause the burger patty to stick like glue to the surface. The burger came out of the press in pieces, as we pried the burger from the surface. Excess meat pushes up past the adjustable plate. When done, I disassembled it (not as easy as it sounds) and had several tablespoons of meat packed up inside. The shaft to the adjustable plate is greasy, so the meat up inside was wasted and I had black grease on my hands. There is also no handle to hold the base, so reopening the device with a burger inside is annoying. I would not recommend this product for home use.
