Not worth it
from Wichita, KS
Comments about Encore Cassette Converter:
Neede to transfer cassette to CD. Easy set up. I already use Audacity Software (otherwise this might have a learning curve for some). But the minute I began recording it produced a squeal on my Mac so I moved the converter to a PC. Same noise. Could not get it to record without the squeal. Gave up and sent it back.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

This does not work with windows 10 and that is all that I can say about it. A good idea that does not work.
I gave it as a gift.

Not worth the money
from New Jersey
I had high hopes for this. With a large collection of cassettes, I wanted to transfer them to my PC. The software loads quickly, and easily; but that's where the positives end. There are a litany of steps to begin transferring the music, and the sound is tinny, full of static, and whiny. I gave it several attempts, but could not get this thing to work right. Very disappointing purchase.

All I want to do is convert cassettes into mp3 and store them in a file. The manual print is too small to read and is not user-friendly to the user who is NOT interested in complex audio editing.I am returning it for credit.

Because of the cost I expected this to be well made and easy to use ... I never installed it to the computer because the sound quality was so poor ... sounds like the speaker is broken ... but doesn't look that way ... I am returning it and expect a full refund ... would not recommend this to anyone.

About Me Renter, Senior Citizen
Bought this to get all my cassettes transfered to my pc but it doesn't work. Paid way too much for the piece of junk that it is. Flimsey piece of plastic. Makes too much noise. Very poor quality. Probably will never deal with this company again.Cant afford to make the same mistake again. My advice...don't waste your money!
