About Me Midrange Shopper
Comments about Escape Hammer:
Small enough to leave in the driver's door pocket so it is accessible in an an emergency. Seems very sturdy. Comes with an adhesive strip if you want to attach to your dashboard. Would be even better if it had a little light.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

ESCAPE TO FREEDOM
About Me Budget Shopper
I have several of these. I put them in the night stands of the bedrooms in case of fire, I travel with them, and they are in all of the vehicles. The recently purchased will become stocking suffers for my Women Veterans Ceremonial Team.
Great to have!

Always good to have one of these in each car for emergencies. If not just for yourself, maybe to help others in an emergency.
It looks perfect if I need to use it.
I have not had to use the escape hammer, but I know it is in the car and available if I need it.

You MUST be able to LOCATE it to use it
About Me Auto Enthusiast
Yes, every CAR needs One but it is useless unless you can GET to it. Many folks R buying for loved ones but you have to explain the following: When you go into water, the water is NOT clear so you're in the dark. Sometimes you are upside down because the car has rolled over. This device comes with tape & screws. . It should be taken to your mechanic and SCREWED into the "pockets" on your driver side door or another place EASY to reach when you are in a PANIC! (Storing in glove department??? As soon as you open it IN THE WATER, it's floating away Keeping under your seat? Again, it's floating away as soon as it gets in the water. And even if they claim this is "Glow in the Dark" I wouldn't want to take the chance that I'll see it floating by and be able to grab it while I'm also trying to locate my seat belt release button (or my kids release buttons). Lastly, keep in mind that when you hit water, your electrical system often goes out meaning your automatic locks won't work (hence why people can't always "open" their doors to get out).
