I HAVE ONE OF THESE AND THEY WORK SO WELL I DECIDED TO GET FOR MY OLDER NEIGHBORS FALLING IS ALWAYS A WORRY FOR THEM
DEBBY H on Dec 31, 2016
Our front porch and sidewalk isn't protected by a rain gutter. So we get the run off when the snow starts to melt and then it freezes and makes it very icy and dangerous.
TERESA S on Dec 30, 2016
The steps to/from my wooden deck get no sun exposure so once any ice forms it stays there, making the steps very hazardous! I've used the No-Slip Carpet for several years. It works great and usually lasts through at least two seasons!
TAMMY W on Dec 30, 2016
At this price and the option they only last for the one season, they're O.K.

can this item be trimmed?
Sherrie W on Sep 22, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Yes, it can be trimmed with regular scissors. I bought some to put on steps at my 95 year old mother's house and at our house for our old dog. It is wonderful stuff. Granted, when you cut it, it you will have little pieces of grass that fall off, so cut it outside or where you can sweep up the grass easily. I have bought 4 of these and love them. When it is icy, you just roll it out, or cut it in squares (as for the dog) and place one in front of the other so the dog can walk out on the ice to go potty. Love this stuff.
How does it stay secure on the steps?
A shopper on Jan 10, 2017
BEST ANSWER: When I bought it it didn't come with instructions so I tried to put it down on our back steps on the pavement and it wouldn't stay and it wouldn't flatten out. Then I found out that you're supposed to let it snow first and then put it over the snow or ice. I decided not to use it. It probably works I just decided not to use it I use salt ice melt instead which works fantastic hope that helps you.
My caregiver just put down in yard for my crazy dog, they are put in with spikes of a sort, I want to get more(on sale now), but so many diff. reviews. I am hoping it will help as he is blue heeler/border collie run,run...all day even after running in park.
has anyone tried to use as dog runner as we did? thanks all!
Lori H on Dec 14, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Dear Lori, You have now found the eighth wonder of the world, they are absolutely awesome !!! I Live in the Hamptons ,N.Y. And you never know from one day to the next if you will wake to a winter wonder land and of course the first ones out the door are my three dogs, all sizes, a hound dog, an American Eskimo Spitz, and a chauwua-dashound mix. They run and ply and make snow angels and chase each each other all around. These SNOW AND ICE CARPETS ARE THE BEST INVESTMENT YOU CAN GIVE YOUR FURRY FRIEND. They are of good quality, they last , can be moved around, reused they are fabulous hold up nicely and look terrific. The little children just can not seem to be able to destroy them and they also add a clean, clear surface for them to sit eventually. YES, YES, YES THE BESTDOG RUNNER, AND ALSO LETYOUR CAREGIVER KNOW THEY ARE ALSO EXCELENT FOR COVERING RAMPS, ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE AN ELDERLY,OR HANDICAPED PERSON WHO IB IN NEED OF MONOVERING IN AND OUT WITH A WHEELCHAIR, CRUTCHES,WALKER OR CANE. TOP OF THE LINE #1 PRODUCT. I hope this helps Iuse them every year. Best Regards, Carol
How do I use this? Do I put it down before it snows or after shoveling the snow? If there is more than a few inches of snow, it would be too heavy to lift to shake off and my guess is that shoveling would damage it. Or, is this to be used primarily for icy conditions? If it's icy does the ice stick to it and do you have to shake it off?
Ellie on Dec 6, 2016
BEST ANSWER: You can put it donw before it snows. If it has all ready snowed shovel snow off of the stairs / walkway and lay it down. I've never shaken it off after ice or snow. I use a broom to get light snow off. If there is a need to shovel a lot of snow after you have put it down do it lightly , then use a broom.
I TAKE IT ONE SHOVELS THE SNOW & THEN PLACES THE CARPET ON THE PORCH/STEPS. AFTER A THAW REMOVE IT UNTIL NEXT STORM??
A shopper on Dec 12, 2014
BEST ANSWER: i put the mat out with the first frost. I leave it out all winter. It can rip if people drag something over the edge. But it has prevented falls. Can't answer about snow. We don't get much. I buy a new mat each year. They aren't that much money.
Do you just lay it on the steps and how long does it take to adhere?
A shopper on Jan 24, 2018
BEST ANSWER: This carpet does not have any type of glue on the back. I placed pieces of ceramic tile on the sides to keep the carpeting in place. It was placed in a very windy area. The tiles kept it in place all winter. It was also placed in an area where ice would build up on the stairs. The rug kept it ice free all winter.
Can you use these on wood decks/stairs?
A shopper on Nov 7, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes! I use this product for both my deck and my wooden steps! I have two dogs and a husband that slips a lot so when there is snow/ice, I lay this stuff down because it is fabulous!
Is the latex rubber from recycled tires?
A shopper on Oct 25, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question. No, it is not made from recycled tires. We hope this information will be of help to you.
can you cut the no slip ice carpet in pieces for each individual step instead of laying it out as a runner on your porch steps?
Constance S on Nov 28, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Probably better if left in one piece. Could possibly be cut. It is a straw like material. All the comments really describe it well, but it does serve the purpose when needed.
how much does the 30 inch wide carpet weigh?
Steve U on Jan 1, 2016
