They don't work

Comments about Energy Saving Solar Curtain Panels:
These so called curtains are not curtains at all. More like super thin foil wrapping paper you would find at the dollar store. They do not reflect the sun at all or block the heat. Very disappointed. I live in Wisconsin. I can't imagine anyone in a warmer climate using these to block the heat.
Bottom LineNo, I would not recommend this to a friend

Use over windows and/or doors to keep out cold in winter and heat in summer. Works very well to keep cold drafts or hot spots from occurring.

I bought these on a great recommendation of a friend. We live in senior apartments and have to pay our own electric heat. My electric bill was enormous last year due to being on the 'cold side' of the building and the cold coming thru the windows even with thermal drapes. I am hoping these reduce my heating bill this year as it did hers, and I love that I can see thru them!! With care you can keep them for another year's use so no need to discard after one winter. Will be well worth the money spent if they work as well for me as they did for her.

I had purchased solar curtains in the past because my home is old and doesn't have central heat/air.Last winter I used them to prevent heat loss. This summer I purchased more to use on windows that the sun shined through during the hottest part of the day.My home was totally comfortable even without air.I plan to keep these panels on hand year round from now on.

Great help reducing glare & heat
from NW GA
My 5th story apartment kitchen and bathroom windows face west with no helpful shading tall trees or buildings. These curtains have made it MUCH more comfortable. I used inexpensive tension rods to put them up. Within a short after placing them the room temp was noticeably cooler. (In wintertime I roll them up halfway to let the full sunshine in)These helped me so much that I got them recently for a new elderly neighbor who had no air conditioner yet.

We've been using these solar curtains for the past 5-6 years and I must say that our home is much cooler during the summer and warmer in the winter :-). They are placed behing blinds and curtains. I'll be ordering new as some are very old. I leave them up all year and just vacuum them :-)
