I use this in my double sink on the left side. That's what I call the "dirty" side. The right is for the drainer/clean dishes. I've always had one in my sink as did my mother before me. The newer ones the stores offer trap food and/or particles leaving the sink a mess. It keeps things from sticking to the sink or in some cases rusting. I love it and the fact I can throw it in the dishwasher now and then is nice. I like being able to do that. Price quite reasonable as well.
Found at last
I have always used this type of sink protector, but could no longer find it in stores. They had a similar item, but things collected in it and/or didn't rinse away. It was too flat. This sink protector is raised and cleans up easy in the dishwasher when necessary. Keeps things from banging around in the sink, and a reasonable price from Miles Kimball. Thrilled to have found it. Looks nice too.

I'm ordering our 3rd sink protector for the kitchen. The previous two lasted for over 2 years each. I wash them in the dishwasher from time to time on the bottom rack, standing up along the left wall of the dishwasher (just make certain it doesn't prevent rotating dishwasher components from moving.)

Still annoys me that people (males) don't put dishes in dishwasher, but no more scratches or gouges in the sink.
Large Sink Protector

This product did not work for me because it was too large for my sink. I bought two sink protectors, one was too small and the other too large. There was no sink protector to fit my sink. This was not the fault of the company.
