Really wanted this to work. Some people seem to be able to get a good tight seal. I tried several times but it leaked all over the refrigerator the first time then I left it in the sink and it leaked all over. Not worth the money to send it back.
Will just be more careful in selecting "gadgets" from Miles Kimball catalogue in the future.

I love black olives but store in the fridge with their metal can with a plastic lid. I noticed a metallic flavor over time. This unique jar has illiminated that and gives me a quick view if I am getting low. I have read other reviews referring to leakage. I do not have that symptom. As long as you fully seal the lid there are no leaks. I will be buying more of these jars for other items. I wish there was a larger jar for more bulky items like whole dill pickles or pickled eggs.

These sounded great, so I bought four of them. They were TERRIBLE! If I could give them zero stars I would. The first one broke as soon as I opened it from the box and tried to remove the lid. The next one broke when I washed them in the dishwasher. The third one broke overnight while in the fridge; it cracked at the bottom and all the juices leaked out. The last one didn't break, but it didn't hold liquid either. Every time I turned it upside down, some liquid would escape and end up all over the floor of my kitchen. Yuck! Don't waste your money like I did!

I bought this for my olive loving husband for Christmas. We hadn't had a reason to use it until this past weekend for a Memorial Day cookout. I just went into the refrigerator to find olive juice all over the place. BIG disappointment.

I was looking forward to receiving this order and couldnt wait to put olives in it! But when I first saw how wide it was, I was so disappointed! I am better off keeping the olives in their own thinner jar! The worst part is, it LEAKS in the fridge, so i have to set a small dish under it! That takes up more room yet! I would send it back, but it would be too costly! VERY DISPLEASED.

I read the reviews and was concerned about the seal. I ordered two for myself and one as a gift.
When I received them, I filled them with water and turned them up and down on my counter for 3 days. No leakage so was assured it was safe to give as a gift. I will say you must be careful to be sure you get a proper seal. When I took a look at the first one, I could see that it wasn't on tight (straight) so I redid it with a little twist and could feel it seat properly. Had no problem with the others. I did warn the person who received one as a gift to be sure to fit the lid correctly.
Right now have stored pickled beets and olives in them with no problems. Ordered several more for myself and as gifts.

I love the idea, but you need to put a plate under it as it leaks when stored in refrigerator. If they put some sort of an attachment to hold the liquid when turned upside down, or make a tighter lid, I would tell every one about this item

These are great to use anytime, especially for a buffet. Had three of them with pickles, olives and pineapple. So easy to serve from. Have given a few as gifts and will order more. Wish I had thought of the idea! Everyone wanted to know where I got them.

THIS PRODUCT IS A BUST....IT IS BUILT WRONG...IT LEAKS ALL OVER...IT IS SUPPOSED TO KEEP THE OLIVES ON THE BOTTOM IN THE JUICES BUT IT LEAKS, SO YOU HAVE TO PUT IT IN THE FRIDG WITH THE OLIVES IN THE SMALL PART WHICH DEFEATS THE PURPOSE OF KEEPING THE OLIVES IN THE LIQUID WHEN STORING...
