Comments about Pickle Jar:
I haven't yet. I may give it to someone else as we don't eat pickles or olives here now that my husband can't have salty foods!!!

Great idea, but needs work
By Plain Jane

Just ordered two of these for pickles and olives. Great idea, but the lids leak when turned over for storage. I hand washed them prior to use, so no dishwasher damage to sealing lids. The lids just don't seal tight to prevent leakage. I'm sending these back!
Bottom LineNo, I would not recommend this to a friend
What an excellent idea! Now, I don't have to "drain" the olives each time I serve them, but I can leave them in the same container and just turn it over!
I liked this so much I ordered more and now I have 3. It's great for pickles, ollive, chick peas, etc. I only handwash mine so I've had no issue (so far) with any leaking. I onlu wish somehow that it could be designed to sit more flat and also that water wouldn't get into the lid when washing. However, neither of these are big issues for me.

I put some jalapenos with juice. It seemed to work until I opened and reclosed it, it began to leak. I tried several times to reclose but still leaked. Wish it had a screw lid rather than the suction. Very disappointed.

Very handy, a lot easier to use than trying to fish out of the jars.
clever idea for olives

The jar works for olives, and would probably work for little pickles, but it doesn't hold big ones like dill spears. The top becomes the bottom for storage, so it is important that it closes well. It takes a little work to push the gripers out enough that they seal, but it can be done.
Easy access pickles and olives
from El Segundo, CA
I'm following a Mediterranean diet that calls for eating olives, just not too many at a time. This provides easy access when I need them and keeps them in the juice the the rest of the time. Very handy!

I bought one....then gave others as gifts. My brother uses it for olives, I use it for pickles; my friend uses it for jalapeños. It's a great ingenious invention! Just make sure the lid is on tight because you turn it upside down in the fridge.
