This is the perfect steamer for meat, fish or just any smaller steaming needs. Most steamers are very deep, more than is needed sometimes. You can have your veggies steaming in the bigger steamer and your serving of meat, fish or poultry steaming in this one. Use plain water in your fry pan,which it fits over perfectly, or add whatever spices, herbs or citrus in the water for any flavor you desire.

I haven't actually used it yet due to the Barbeque season and grilling most everything outside. But seems very adequate and I have no doubt it will work sufficiently

Good for Long/larger things to steam.

I have used it to steam vegetables that are larger than my smaller/deeper steamer. I love it for steaming bread or buns for hot dogs, pastrami on rye or other sandwiches that would be better with warm bread. Put a tea towel down and cover with one to absorb the moisture.
