This microwave bowl is a great product for a senior citizen who lives alone like me. I make a pasta or rice dish with meat, vegetables and sauce on top of the stove and remove it to a large casserole dish to bake and crisp it up. I then cover and keep in the frig to portion out servings in this bowl to reheat. This helps save money and I can heat a healthful, balanced meal for dinner for several days. (Using a lot of spices and flavorings keeps it from being boring.)
Someone wrote that the lid didn't fit so they sent it back. When heating the lid turns upside down and unless you store food in it, the lid doesn't need to fit. This is a great product as reheating in a ceramic bowl is much more healthy than using plastics.

I use this product every day. For hot cereal in the morning, to pasta, vegetables, meat. Anything you heat up in the microwave. It is so handy, and the container the bowl sits in never gets hot in the microwave, but the bowl with the food it it,does, and it keeps things hot. If I am cooking something in the microwave in its own container, I will put hot water in the microwave bowl, empty it, and put the food from the microwave in it, and it keeps it warm. I am ordering another one today to be sure I always have one on hand. I have recommeded this bowl to many of my friends.

I purchased this for my 91 year old mother who must now use a walker. It is perfect for her; she can handle the bowl out of the microwave and still have one hand on her walker. She loves, loves this bowl set.
