I have always loved covered dishes like this in the forms of animals and birds, and I couldn't resist Miles Kimball's drop-dead price! This will make an adorable addition to the harvest season decor in my country-style eat-in kitchen. He's a nice, heavy, solid piece—not big enough for cranberry sauce, but certainly for a jam dish if you insist on making him work for a living.
