Our town recently went from free curbside trash pickup, to pay per bag via a sticker that can be purchased at various stores throughout the town. The rules are strict, like $1.25 per sticker for 13gal. kitchen bags and can weigh no more than 30lbs. and can not be ripped. Well ever since I bought my new house 7yrs. ago and have a new trash guy, it has been one argument after another when it comes to him taking my trash, and when he doesn't like the feel of it, he leaves it for the neighborhood animals to have fun with...then he refuses it for not being bagged properly.

I have an excellent sense of weight and always knew the bags were under 30lbs. not to mention being disabled I can't carry over that any how.

I know sit out by the side of the road on trash morning with my coffee in one hand and my new scale in the other. It shuts the trash guy up each and every time... My trash gets taken every week, I don't have to clean up the curb of ripped bags, and the town doesn't have to wait for my phone call any more on thuresdays...Everyone's happy (except the trash collector), and it only cost me $--.00 (+the cost of the trash stickers...lol).

I recently travelled abroad and the scale was very helpful in making sure my luggage was not overweighed. It was very handy and will keep it for a long time.

I'm going overseas this summer and must comply with luggage weight restrictions. This eliminates the guess work of how much my suitcase weighs. No more peeking over the scale trying to see those tiny numbers. No more second guesses! It is easy to use. I just hung my suit case on the hook (I had my husband lift it up from the floor) and I could easily see the weight. I was even able to add a few more items into a suitcase that I thought reached its weight limit. I won't be leaving on my trip without it so that I can weigh my suitcases on my way back too.
