The Kitchen Bible

I purchased 2 of these last Christmas. 1 to replace my mothers, and the other for my oldest daughter. I had to purchase another for my brother and now my daughter-in-law requests one. The book has all those recipes that grandma and mom made from "memory". Now I know this is where they learned to cook so well. Still looking for the Lefse recipe they started with though. This is the book all new wives should start with. We call it the kitchen bible.

Some of the best cookie recipes EVER!

I grew up using my mothers copy. It fell apart from so much use. I got this new copy and am very happy to be able to continue to make the same recipes my mother used. The cookie recipes are wonderful; I use several of them for Christmas every year. I will definitely be passing it on to my daughter.

My son wanted my old Betty Crocker cook book that I have had since 1965. I told him I would will it to him but that I still used it and he couldn't have it yet. Then I got the idea maybe I could find an old one for him. I went to [...] and they sent me to this site and I bought him this cook book for Christmas. He just loves it and said it is just like mine. I was so pleased. He says he just loves it.

The best cookbook

This book was exactly the cookbook mother used to raise 6 children on a small farm. After she passed and the book was handed down with her notes and taped cover warn and tattered. It was a surprise and a blessing to get a new one exactly like the one mother used. Now I can hand down a new book to my children when my time comes.

My husband bought one of these for me years ago, which was lost in a house fire, and I can remember my Mom and Grammie owning one also. I love it!!!
