Comments about Irrigation Spikes S/4:
We have several house plants and in the summer it is difficult to keep up-to-date with the watering schedule between the orchids, the christmas cactus, etc. These are a convenient, easy to monitor watering system that is easy to keep tabs on. Just walk past and refill if the water is gone! Also, they will keep the plants watered for up to 5-7 days while you are away from home. I love the recycled water bottle containers that are used as they hold a lot more water that the watering globes that I have been using. If they are damaged, I can replace them cheaply and easily. Great product, except for the vivid orange color. Green would blend into the plantings better.

Waste of money

Didn't work. Water drained out immediately on one. The other got clogged and didn't drain at all.

About Me Getting Started
I was looking for these spikes, and was glad to find them! I read the reviews and used 2 liter bottles. I removed the plastic ring on the neck of the bottles and the spikes fit perfect! Just make a hole first, so the soil doesn't clog the opening!

Living in the high desert in the summer it takes extra effort to keep your flowers hydrated and this is an excellent way to do so.
Bummer

I wanted to use this product while on vacation to water some plants outside. Thought it would be great but I could not find a water bottle big enough to screw on top. Water bottle tops are too small, and if you got bigger bottles they would be too heavy for the pot. Needless to say, could not use and my plants died while we were away. Would not recommend.
Exactly what my husband was looking for.

Long enough shank to go deeply into the ground.

I use these plant spikes at home, and at work.Especially when going on vacation. In the past when on vacation I would have somebody come plant sit. Plants were either drowning or too dry. These spikes are perfect.

Don't Bother

Product does not function as advertised. Soil clogs hole to prevent any water from leaving bottle.
