I have not opened tin. It was purchased as a gift and will be presented soon (provided I do not open it in a "weak" moment) I have had Buckeyes before and based on past experience, they are wonderful and I could (and may) eat the whole tin at one sitting.

Each buckeye is individually wrapped in a clear wrapper. I thought they might taste like Reese's cups, but the product as a whole was lighter/blander than I expected. The chocolate has a nice sweet taste, but the peanut butter inside doesn't have much taste. There is a good amount of peanut butter in the middle. Because they are not so sweet, you do tend to want to eat a good bit of them to get your "sweet fix" and there really isn't that many in the re-usable tin to eat a lot at one time.
