About Me Midrange Shopper
Comments about Step Edger:
I bought this product to edge small area of thinly branched ground cover. After cutting 2 feet the blade bent sideways. So that was that. My weight of 118 stepping down on it was enough to bend the blade. This was a super waste of money.

Does what it says it will do
By Steve the lawn cleaner
This product is easy to assemble. Does good in dry grass, but not to good in wet grass. Sometimes does not cut all the grass, and may have to do it serveral times to get it to cut. Steel blade could be made of thicker grade of steel.
Bottom LineYes, I would recommend this to a friend

I used the edger to clear off grass encroaching on the sidewalk. The assembly was easyA couple of screws loosened with use.on the bottom.
Maybe my soil is too hard, or a big man would be able to get it to push into the soil
Bottom LineNo, I would not recommend this to a friend

I don't mind putting together anything and this was a fun project that took no time at all.

I use to maintain existing edges of lawn. I only weigh 110 lbs, but this edger blade would not cut through even a blade of grass.

Heavy-duty blade bends very easily...
from gainesville, florida
I tried using the edger along my walking paths and was very disappointed when on the third cut the blade bent when it encountered an English ivy root! Once the blade has been bent, the tool is virtually useless since, even after straightening, the blade continues to bend, even more easily. I'm having the blade replaced with an iron blade as found on the old crescent-shaped edger tools.
Great Gardening Tool!
