Mrs Andersons™ Piecrust Shield

This baking tool improves every pie you bake, takes seconds to use, and can last a lifetime. Just place pie crust shield on a fresh or frozen pie, then bake. Ring stops crust from cooking too fast, gives a beautiful golden piecrust every time. Dishwasher safe, or just rinse - crust won't stick. Small fits pies 7 1/2" - 9" in diameter. Standard fits pies 8 1/2" - 10 1/4" in diameter.

                Had to arrange my pie crust edge straight up rather than over the rim in order to fit the metal ring on the edge of the pie plate. Worked very well in a convection oven. The next time I bake a pie, I will try using the pie shield in a regular oven

                      The large shields do not fit over the crust in a 10 inch pie pan. They are a great idea, but do not work on a large pan. It was very disappointing to me.

                      This is the greatest invention! In the past, I would fold aluminum foil and crunch it on the crust edge so it would not burn or over bake. For my relatives whom bake lots of pies, I give as gifts and they tell me they use them every time for pie baking as I do. I use the larger size much more than the smaller. I do wish they had a smaller size for individual pies.

                              The sturdiness of these piecrust shield are really great. Ones I had previously were very flimsy but these will be used over and over for years to come. Having them in 2 different sizes will be useful, also.
