I have been looking at these for a few years and they are quit pricey. I wasn't sure about the quality of these being 1/2 the price that I have seen them. I was surprised when I got them how nice and heavy they were. I hope my kids never have to use them but am glad you had them.

Fortunely I haven't had to use this product. It appears to be sturdy and I plan on buying one for each of my love ones and an extra one to place in my purse. Yesterday a lady rolled her van into a small river and this would have been a handy tool to assist in getting her and her children out to the van.

I bought an Escape hammer for each of my children and grandchildren. Here is what I wrote to them.
Dear Amy,
The reason I sought out this gift was a lady in Dallas had just picked up her child from Day care after work and was headed home a short distance. At the intersection they were hit by a car and it sent her car through a fence into a backyard and into a pond or pool. The car sunk and they were fighting to get out even a man jumped in and could not get the door open and had nothing to break the window. The lady was fighting inside trying break the window but could not and they both drowned before the fireman could arrive. A simple tool like this could have saved their lives. I think of you driving so much in fast traffic and along the ocean I want you to put this under your car seat for protection. It also has a cutter to cut off your seat belt if that jams. This is a safety measure I can give you. I want to keep you safe.

I bought this for my daughter who is a new driver. It is a great gadget for the price. Hopefully she will never need to use it but I feel she's safer with this in her car. Great product.

I bought 4 of these to give to my children and for our vehicles. None of us have had to use them yet, and I hope we don't, but they look like they could do the job

I hopefully will never have to use my emergency hammer, but I know it is there if I need it. I like this one because it also has a sharp edge to cut seatbelt if needed.

Hammer has a clear plastic bubble over the end that doesn't seem to come off. The hammer came with no instructions, not sure if that bubble is supposed to come off or if it is designed to break when used.
