Comments about Ease Out TM Broken Bulb Remover:

without a rubber tip on the insertion end of this tool, to strengthen the pressure of turning the tool, it requires greater hand and wrist strength than some might possess. It is a good tool to have for the purpose it was intended to serve because it is much safer than pliers or your fingers at an electrical outlet. I would purchase it again, however.

I am a business owner who calls upon our building maintenance to change our light bulb that sometimes burst, leaving the metal part in the socket. He uses one of these tools so i needed to get my own. Now I can change my own broken bulb.

Used it on ceiling fan lights. Had to remove the shield in order to reach the broken bulb. Worked just fine, but of course it didn't catch the small broken glass particles. Glad I bought it though.

Comments about Ease Out TM Broken Bulb Remover:

I had a broken bulb that had defied several attempts to remove it. I had my doubts if this would work. The bulb was in a recessed eyeball fixture and the eyeball rotated when you tried to unscrew the bulb base. The opening to the fixture was narrow and recessed, and hard to reach, and the bulb had a smaller base than a standard bulb. The nose of the tool actually didn't fit inside the bulb base, but to my surprise, I was able to clamp the tool around the outside edge of the base, and turn it that way. The bulb was out in a few seconds. Without this tool, I would have had to call an electrician. I bet it works even better on a standard sized bulb!

Much easier and safer than using a pair of needle nose pliers to get out light bulbs that don't screw completely out of the socket. Kudos to who ever came up with this idea!

When I unscrew Light bulbs sometimes they come apart and the metal piece is left in the socket. I then try to carefully unscrew the metal piece out of the socket and I sometimes cut or scratch myself with the small pieces of glass attached to the metal. With this blub remover I no longer have to worry about cuts and scratches.
