We found this to be wonderful when my father was ill. He had the button and my mother or I kept the chime with us. When he needed something, he pushed the button and we would know he needed something. Similiar to a hospital call light.

The button batteries do not fit the transmitter,
and replacement batteries( which you buy at your own cost) also do not work. Therefore there is no signal able to be made to the receiver. The device just does not work, unlike the previous models which included a 5 volt battery that fit
neatly into the geodes.

We use this on our motorhome and love it. Love the different doorbell "ring" choices, our grandkids get a kick out of them, too. Love the new design on the doorbell button and the fact that it is now waterproof as it goes on the outside of our motorhome which travels in all types of weather.

We have a large house. This doorbell is great for summoning family members downstairs, upstairs, etc. It's just what I needed. And no installation needed--we just put in some batteries, and it was good to go.

You can take the remote anywhere even on the deck and a back room so you hear anyone at the front door, since we never had a doorbell.
