Comments about Glitter Pencils:
These pencils are covered with a piece of plastic. When you sharpen the end, the plastic breaks making it hard to sharpen correctly. My daughter peeled the damaged plastic off and the personalization came off with it! Disappointing!
Bottom LineNo, I would not recommend this to a friend

I always give my granddaughters personalized pencils to start the school year. These were particularly attractive.

[...] poor quality

THE PROS: [...] It was nice to have the personalization feature, since I was using these for a church girls' group Christmas gift. THE USAGE: I actually wanted pencils half this size to fit into some glitter coin purses (from another company) with small post-it notepads (from yet another source), so I broke the unsharpened pencils in half and sharpened the broken ends for golf pencils (one with, one without eraser for each girl). ONE PROBLEM: My plan worked out great, except that when I sharpened the pencils, the lead points kept breaking off. They just wouldn't get sharp! I don't think it was the sharpener I was using because one of the 48 pencils I ordered sharpened just fine. ANOTHER PROBLEM: Also, the glitter is contained underneath a plastic casing, which makes for a glittery mess when you're sharpening them. OVERALL, I was dissatisfied with my order and I hope I don't hear too many complaints from the girls about the presents they received.
