Everyone I gave the escape hammer to as a gift, felt it was a very thoughtful gift and was happy to receive it. Hopefully, no one will have to use it, but they have it just in case.

You MUST be able to LOCATE it to use it
About Me Auto Enthusiast
Yes, every CAR needs One but it is useless unless you can GET to it. Many folks R buying for loved ones but you have to explain the following: When you go into water, the water is NOT clear so you're in the dark. Sometimes you are upside down because the car has rolled over. This device comes with tape & screws. . It should be taken to your mechanic and SCREWED into the "pockets" on your driver side door or another place EASY to reach when you are in a PANIC! (Storing in glove department??? As soon as you open it IN THE WATER, it's floating away Keeping under your seat? Again, it's floating away as soon as it gets in the water. And even if they claim this is "Glow in the Dark" I wouldn't want to take the chance that I'll see it floating by and be able to grab it while I'm also trying to locate my seat belt release button (or my kids release buttons). Lastly, keep in mind that when you hit water, your electrical system often goes out meaning your automatic locks won't work (hence why people can't always "open" their doors to get out).

I like the red color - easier to find. Screwsand tape are useless-no place to attach.I pray we will never need to use it.

This is a great item for anyone who lives near or commutes around water. Offers a genuine sense of having help available.

This needs to be in a glove compartment, in a console, anywhere it is easily accessible in an emergency situation.

Wasn't sure what to expect in terms of quality since this was the best pricing I saw anywhere. I ordered 5 of them for each family members' car because of the price and glad I did. Was surprised at the quality.Did not indicate pros/cons since I just got them and have not had to use it. Hopefully we never will, but it is good to be prepared and have peace of mind.

Hopefully will never have to use this...but I have one in every vehicle I own and have given it to all my loved ones.
I have been looking at these for a few years and they are quit pricey. I wasn't sure about the quality of these being 1/2 the price that I have seen them. I was surprised when I got them how nice and heavy they were. I hope my kids never have to use them but am glad you had them.
