Comments about Diving Submarine:
This submarine takes me back to the 50s when you mailed in one or two Kelloggs cerial box tops plus $0.25 to Battle Creek, Michigan and waited a miserable two weeks to get your submarine. Great memories. Kids today would'nt have the patience to play with this. Today it's video games, push a button - instant gratification. This is a wonderful little toy. Just remember - baking POWDER not SODA!Happy sailing,Bill

About Me Education Oriented, Grandparent
I bought this for a nephew who is very much interested in science. I felt that this was a little history lesson about earlier toys and also a science lesson. He loves to play with it and so does his father.

About Me Grandparent
There was a great deal of excitement upon opening this gift but it failed to live up to expectations. The older (8 year old) was able to manage it on his own but the five year old and four year old were impatient as it took so long to surface and then it was over. I think it will be a bathtub toy without baking soda.
Bottom LineNo, I would not recommend this to a friend

About Me Special needs caregiver
This was so fun to watch in an empty gallon glass jar (we used empty pickle jar) I am always looking for things to entertain a home bound person. Even though he is an adult this made us kids at heart. This is the sort of thing that kept my parents captivated when there was no such thing as television.
