Good for what I need
About Me Long-Time Pet Owner
Comments about Auto Pet Barrier:
I needed something to keep my dogs from trying to walk from the back cargo area of my car through the bucket seats and into the front. I didn't want a big bulky thing that would be difficult to install or would block any of my vision. This does the trick, is level with the back of my seats, and keeps me from having an unexpected copilot when I'm driving. It could be a bit sturdier, but that's my only complaint.
Bottom LineYes, I would recommend this to a friend

both of our dogs can see through the window portion and are content to remain in the back seat

Pet Barrier is great. Our Chocolate Lab would jump from front seat to back while I am driving. I am always afraid she will get her legs caught by the console(which she has). Now she is securely kept in the back seat. A much better ride for both of us.I was really surprised how well constructed and easy to use the Barrier is.
Does exactly what we needed

We have harnesses in our truck but wanted something simpler for our sedan. This works perfectly to keep both dogs in the back seat so they do not jump into front seat or distract us while driving. Highly recommend it if you do not use a harness in your car.

Total waste of money!!
from Greencastle, PA
Was only designed to be used with cars that have headrest that move. None of the cars I own do. If the straps would have been longer maybe I could have made it work. The straps were also too short at the bottom. The buckles weren't sewn to anything so they just fell off. TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY1
Bottom LineNo, I would not recommend this to a friend

Put it in position and first thing one of the dogs got their nose in to push it out of the way enough to get their head through it. I tried making adjustments but they still got through the edge of it. I will be sending it back.

Could use longer straps for top too.

I have Jeep Liberty. Top 2 straps is not long enough to secure the top part of barrier in between the seat up on headrest. But Barrier is good enough size to put there.
