You must remove the rust as it will continue to grow. it is very thin and took many coats but worked.

I have a dishwasher rack that was showing rust (plastic coating has cracked exposing the metal); hence, rust on some dishes and flatware. This stuff covered the rust well. Make sure the rack is CLEAN and DRY or it won't work. It dries fast, meaning in the bottle also, so use it quickly and cover open (with gloved finger is adequate) while "painting" it on the rust spots.
I love this product used it many times.

I have a dishwasher about 20 years old and it gets rust spots on the bottom rack. I use this product to cover up the rust spots so they do not stain my dishes. I am very pleased with this product. This is my second time to purchase this product.

Initial reaction after applying first coat was disappointment but then realized it required many applications. The solution was translucent & watery but does finally work! So am satisfied with the product.

Good idea, but takes a long time to dry completely! And, the odor is strong when first applied, so I would not recommend its use by anyone who is hyper-sensitive to strong odors, or when small children or pets are nearby.
Not worth it

The item seemed like a great idea, but didn't work that well. I had to use several coats to get any decent coverage. In addition, you have to wait 24 hours after you have used it before you can run the dishwasher.
Sounds to good to be true

First off, when I went to open, cap fell apart in my hand. Good thing I had an empty nail polish bottle, or I would have had to just pitch the whole thing. For very tiny spots, might cover after 2 aps. For larger areas, after 4 coatings, still not covered
