Would be better if the flag was painted on both sides. Made fairly sturdy for the price of the item.

Don't Waste Your Money

I thought the flag would act as a wind vane, pointing the direction of the wind, and the back side would be painted also. It doesn't and it's not. Even the colors are not correct for the flag. The rain gauge will have collection problems due to the positioning of it. If the gauge will stay in the holder, which it won't if windy. Nothing on the bottom to keep it from sliding out & breaking.Can't believe Miles Kimball would sell something of this low quality. I thought Miles Kimball had a good name for quality. I thought wrong.
Decorative as well as functional

This looks nice in a small garden plot with flower containers arranged around it and some statues. The colors really stand out when you plant bright red and white flowers such as petunias nearby. The compass adds a little touch as well.
