Comments about Tomato Slicing Knife:
I have had this knife for the last 10 or more years and it is still as sharp as the day it was purchased. I have used it on all kinds of fruits and vegetables, not just tomatoes. I wash it in the dishwasher and have had no problems, so I don't know why it is listed as "hand wash". After having dropped it several times over the years I had the top tomato break off, but was able to re-attach it with some crazy glue and it is as good as ever. Great tool at a good price. Besides it brightens up the knife block and does a better job than the paring knife! I will be buying more as gifts in order to share the fun of using this cute and effective little knife.
Best knife ever!

This is the greatest knife for slicing tomatoes. Even slices thin slices easily.

Great gift. The friends that you gift this knife to will be sooo grateful. Mine were. Works perfectly without crushing an even over-ripe tomato.
Attractive, appealing; looks great BUT

Cleverly designed, this little knife certainly looks like it could take on the job it was designed for: slicing tomatoes. However, although it certainly is fun, it really is no more effective at getting through tomoto skin than an efficiently sharp kitchen knife - or machete - would be. Using the point to start a cut is exactly how most people with average knives cut tomatoes, and this tool performs just as well in that respect. As far as slicing the skin with a direct cut from the blade goes, it doesn't get a very high score from me, and I don't think my tomatoes are tougher than anyone else's. Sorry, cute little knife - you look neat, but your performance just doesn't cut it!

I really like that little knife. It's just the right size to do the job. I keep it in my jar on the counter with other odd utensils and it stands out.
