Don't Buy This

About Me Avid Cook
Comments about Stovetop Simmer Ring:
I picked up one of these at the Vermont Country Store and the very first time I used it the plastic where the handle attaches melted. I used it on my gas stove on a small burner set on the lowest possible flame. I am very disappointed in this item and would definitely not recommend this to anyone. If I could give it less than one star, I would.

About Me Casual Cook
Bought this as a gift for someone that had used mine. Great for simmering on propane stoves that tend to burn hotter than natural gas
Love this.

Cheap, wouldn't reccomend
By JBud

This is a stovetop simmer ring, however when we placed it on our stovetop, it began to burn. When we took it off you could clearly see the burn marks from having been on the stove for only a minute... Not good quality, you could find a better one somewhere else.
DONT BUY!!!

HANDLE MELTED RIGHT OFF DURING FIRST FEW MINUTES OF USE ON MEDIUM HEAT. WHAT A WASTE OF MONEY!!!
Stovetop simmer ring.....NG
By Cookie

Sorry. I looked high and low for one of these in cast iron and couldn't. Came across this one and ordered it. Used it twice. The piece within the white handle melted and now has rendered the piece useless. The heat was NOT hitting the handle and there were no scorch marks. Just the heat from under the pot melted it. I am definitely sending this back for my money back and the search goes on again!

Disappointng length of use
By Marj

I really liked the simmer ring when I first got itbut after some time & use the handle fell off! I was careful that the handle did not get over the flame but it looks like the connection between thehandle & the ring burnt. I never cared for the design of the handle, as it made it difficult to store & wash.

stove top simmer ring

The design of the handlr does't allow for using larger pots. If the handle was flat it would be really useful.
Love this for preventing scorching.

This is perfect for gas stoves that have a low dial position, but you can't control the flame any lower than on the dial. I love this for sauces and cream soups.

Burned up Diffuser
By Kit
from Bardstown, Ky
I used the diffuser to put under a porcelian pot, but within a short period of time it turned black and began flaking off. I made tea in this pot and I just brought it to a boil and turned it down to simmer. I can't tell you how disappointed I was, I really hope it would be less ware on my pot, but now I am back to using just the pot. I bought and paid for this product myself, but won't make that mistake again.
