About Me Getting Started
Comments about Topsy Turvy Tomato Planter:
This was my first purchase of the Topsy Turvy. I found the inventor's insert of tips offensive and condescending and a blanketed sales pitch for goo from Canada. I have NO desire to purchase ANYTHING from Canada. I ordered 4 Topsy Turvy units. I used 2 and trashed the other 2 because of that insert and I will NOT order again!

I Am Now A Productive Member of Society
By Girl Friday

I live in a condo with a large patio, but of course no room for planting. My neighbor recommended this product to me. I searched all over and found the best price here at Miles Kimball. I also purchased the Topsy Turvy Stand that holds two of these things. So, this past weekend, I bought two plants, one Patio variety (special hybrid for container planting) and one Better Boy and I set about the business of growing tomatoes. The stand was easy to set up and the planting was pretty easy (but the bags get very heavy, so I recommend hanging them before filling them with soil). I am now spending most of my free hours watching the plants and waiting for fruit. Planting these tomatoes has made me feel like a productive member of society. I can't wait for the first fruits of the season. Although, I am not sure what I will do with them since I really don't like tomatoes and just wanted to grow something.

Tipsy over the TopsyTurvy
By Tomato lover

Plant should be small when put in topsy turvy. Suggest to practice assembly of plant and dirt before true plant is used.

Highly recommend

Tomato plants called "Patio" so far has worked best. You must remember to water daily, especially in dry climates. Plenty of sun and watch out for the tomato worms, they'll kill your plant within 48hrs! Make sure to use good potting soil, preferably for fruiting gardens.Last summer I got 8-10 pints of tomatoes off of my plants that were in the Topsy Turvy. The tomato plants in the regular garden only produced about 1/2. I love this product and highly recommend it!!

Liked to put two on the dual patio planter. But hang it there before you plant it as it is heavy to move. Need to water every day when weather if hot.
