What Every Home-owner Needs
By Viv

I bought one of these and used it with my previous home. It turned out to be one of the most useful things I ever did!! Whenever we did anything to our house, I entered it in the journal and pasted in samples, warranties, labels, etc., as well as documenting basic info. I could take it with me to stores when buying new curtains, furniture, storage or decorative items. It made choosing new things much easier & the results were more pulled together. When we bought our next home we could use the journal to compare costs & make decisions about new things we wanted to do. Every home-owner should use one of these!I have been using a spiral notebook on my new home as a journal but it's not the same. I finally decided to look on the internet for this because I couln't remember where I had bought my first one from.

A good buy

I have the original Homeowner's Journal but it will stay with the house when we sell it since it is full of things the new owner would like to know. I ordered another one for our new place and was disappointed to see that it has been changed a bit. I really prefer the old one, though the new "model" is wonderful too. The old one had sections for furniture, appliances, etc, in each room which I thought very useful. The new edition does have space for notes on the sides of the pages so you could put this info there. If you are just beginning a remodel or new build, this is invaluable for all the information that you may want to recall at a future date! If you've ever wondered what paint color is on that bedroom wall and where you got it, you can look it up in this book. It would be a great housewarming gift! Definitely worth the price!!!
wonderful resource

This book is where I keep all records of anything done in the house so when I need to know dates, model numbers etc its all there. It helped me get a discount on homeowners insurance knowing that the furnace was under 10 years old, get model info when I needed a service call for the washing machine etc.....

All information is one spot. Don't have to go looking through receipts to find dates of improvements or where purchases.
