This product is dangerous. Comes off wall when any pressure is applied, such as using to get in or out of tub.
Not for every tub / shower

We bought this for an elderly relative after a different elderly relative had success with it. However, the shower stall we intended to use it on has a very slightly textured surface. We did not realize this upon buying it. The handle's suction cups do not stick securely to the shower surround. This is not a defect in the product but it would have been useful to have a warning about this in the product description; we would have made certain that the shower had a completely smooth surface before purchasing. Our complaint is more with the lack of complete description in the catalog and online than with the product itself.

Because my tile has a texture, the bar is useless to me, as it won't stick. If I had kept the box I would be returning it to you.

I had previously purchased what looks (on close inspection) like an identical item from a medical supply vendor - but for a bit more money, maybe $3 to $5 more. The one I had worked great on the long wall of the tub to help me get up, but I wanted another at the short wall to help me get over that death-defying outer wall of the tub. So I was pleased to find this here at a value price. It fits the bill just fine, easy to apply with no failures or "UN-suctions". Keep in mind that it is not intended for permanent installation, only intended for short-term use, like ONE bath, then take it down until next bath. I've had no problems at all in well over a year with this one. Also, travels very nicely, especially handy if you'll be staying where there are no grab bars installed.

Very disappointed. While they are cheap they don't work and i feel are dangerous
