Powerful light in small lantern

Comments about Emergency Lantern:
Bought this for elderly friend whose home loses power frequently. She is thrilled -- and hopes never to have to use it. I have two of my own and have had to use on occasion. The lanterns throw out a lot of light for their size and are attractive to boot.
Great in emergencies

I have two of these and have found them very useful. As to other comments, you should always check to see a product works before you need it --that's just common sense.

Switch was inoperable

I found the lantern hard to assemble. Once assembled, the on/off switch did not work. I got it to prepare for a hurricane. Once one was coming, I couldn't use it. I contacted you and because I didn't request replacement withing a certain time limit, I ended up with nothing when I needed the light as my electricity went out.
Dead on Arrival

Battery placement directions are in compartment lid, not at bottom of compartment where it would make more sense. Neither of the two that I ordered works. I would not order this product again.
